Naissance Music is proud to present its first CD, "Naissance."
Released
in March 2002, it is John Fahrenwald's first compositional album. The
songs reflect three compositional styles: The first is Portuguese inspired;
the Portuguese have a reverence for the past and a strong sense of longing
and reflection - perfect music for a cup of coffee on a rainy day. The
next compositional style is more Brazilian. Underlying pulsating rhythms,
usually with percussion, add vitality and sensuality to the suave melodies.
The third style is contemporary: elements of irony and humor set to music:
an aerobics instructor chant her commands in a controlled, breathy voice;
a French girl has the dull job of elevator operator in a Paris Mall, the
brazilian instrument, the cuica, is faintly heard amidst the clatter of
a Mexican restaurant... these whimsical elements add variety to the overall
CD, and so they are shorter vignettes, placed between the longer, more
sonorous tracks.

Read some reviews
on CDstreet.com. Do not buy anything from this company,
however. They have pocketed sales from my CDs for themselves -
that's right, when people ordered my CDs from them they charged the
recipient's credit card and kept sales profit, not giving me the
money. I think they must be going out of business soon, but suffice
to say, don't buy from them - Better Business Bureau has tried to resolve
this however, CDStreet isn't even responding their inquiries.
